Day 1 - Monday 16 March 2015
Hua Hin……..As a prelude to the new tour and by means of a break I call to see friends in Hua Hin who live in my city in the UK. They’re in residence in Hua Hin at the moment, returning to the UK in April. It’s a break I can afford as there is no chance of reaching my tour destination tonight. After a two hour break I continue south. If I make it to Prachuap Kiri Khan by dark I should be happy enough.
Prachuap Khiri Khan……..Progress to Prachuap is steady and I arrive in the city just after 6pm and head for a point of reference I know from my last visit in December 2012. Correct! It’s the train station, although due to diversions because of road works I end up on the wrong side of the railway. That allows me to find Palmsweet Hotel. At the point of writing the accommodation is pleasing and less than I have been paying. Any further observations can wait till the morning. Before unpacking, I head round to the night food market and eat well in the square. I soon notice that the ocean climate is more comfortable and I’m hoping this sets the tone for the second tour. Back at Palmsweet Hotel, I can’t get an internet connection to upload my blog. I will just have to see what happens in the morning. Next Page.
