There are a number of options to enjoy the sights of Istanbul including tours of the Bosphorus by boat. An inexpensive and delightful option is the Sunset Tour. Leaving from the Golden Horn near the Galata Bridge, this tour takes an hour and a half and weather permitting, offers the spectacle a glorious sunset. Against the setting sun, the lights of the two bridges over the Bosporus, the 15 July Martyrs and Fatih Sultan Mehmet sparkle brightly which together with the brilliantly lit buildings on the shoreline, create a magical experience. From the boat the Rumelihisarı (a hilltop 15th-century fortress with multiple towers, walking paths & water views), Ortaköy Mosque and Beylerbeyi Palace to name but a few are particularly attractive.
