Yusuf Koch Church is located in the valley near Göreme in a large rock of fairy chimneys. The entrance is at a height where you can climb the iron stairs. The church dates back to the Byzantine Era but was for a long time a dovecote, as was often the case in this area. The church is named after the former owner of the dovecote.
