Mae Wang National Park,
Doi Lo District, Chiang Mai Province

Mae Wang National Park covers an area of Pa Mae Cham, Pa Mae Khan-Mae Wang and Pa Chomthong National conservation forest in Chaingmai, 700 Square kilometres in area. There are various types of forest, mixed deciduous forest, dry dipterocarp, mixed dry dipterocarp, hill evergreen forest and pine hill forest. The complex mountains of the Tanonthongchai hill range lies along a north-south line 400-1,909 m above mean sea level. Doiphatang is the highest mountain while with others are the main sources of 3 streamlines as Nammaejam, Nammaewang and Nammaeteun that tributaries of the Maenamping.
There are 4 of forest types in Mae Wang National Park, mixed deciduous forest found in the range of 400-1,000 m, dry dipterocarp forest found in the range of 400-900 m along a crest of arid foothills, pine hill forest found in the range of 900-1,500 m and hill evergreen forest found above 1,000 m.
