Monument No 2, Khok Mai Den Ancient City,
Phayuha Khiri District, Nakhon Sawan Province

The base of a brick and clay stupa was discovered in 1964. It was built to a square plan measuring 20 x 20 metres. The height is 2 metres. There are lines of brick protruding from all four sides thought to be a stairway or base for the Buddha image.
Archaeological excavations have revealed that the top of the stupa was in the shape of a star apple. In addition two pieces of the stocco of the Buddha’s head show evidence of local influence and are similar to the art style found in Sri Thep (Petchabun) and U-Thong (Suphanburi).
