Kaen Makrut Botanical Garden is a Royal sponsored project in tambon Kaen Makrut, a mountainous part of the Uthai Thani province and home to around 700 odd Karen families, many of whom are participating in the sponsored Pid Thong Lang Phra (doing good for merit) programme. During the rainy season the area bursts into bloom making it a worthwhile visitor attraction.
