Ta Khwai Temple, Phanom Dong Rak District,
Surin Province

Ta Khwai Temple consists of a single prang built in laterite on a square base. Built on top of a hill there is no space for other buildings. It is presumed that the prasat was built at the same time as the Ta Muean Complex. As the sanctuary lies in a disputed area along the Thai/Cambodia border, access is restricted to certain daylight hours. Pending a decision by the UN Border Commission, representatives of both armies occupy the temple.
