Prasat Chom Phra, Chom Phra District, Surin Province

Prasat Chom Phra is one of over a hundred arokayasala (medical station) that Jayavaman VII built during his reign (1181-1218). It is a Mahayana Buddhist temple with a simple tower situated in a rectangular enclosure built of laterite with the usual pond built to the northeast. Prasat Chom Phra is one of the larger and better preserved santuaries of this type.
