The Songkalia Creek is a section of the Songkalia River in Nong Lu district of Kanchanaburi province where the headwaters of this river can be seen as it flows under a concrete road bridge and where local people come to enjoy the cool waters. The river combines with two other rivers, the Bikhli River and the Rantee River, at the confluence called Sam Sop or Sam Phrasop in Sangkhlaburi District to form the Khwae Noi River. 'Song Ka Lia' in the Mon language means 'over there'.
