Wat Khiriwong, Tha Put District, Phang Nga Province

Wat Bang Riang is located on a hill with temple buildings at the base and at the summit. After reaching the top of the hill via a sleep road there is still a long naga staircase leading to the magnificent chedi to negotiate. The chedi is said to enshrine a Buddha tooth relic brought from India over 700 years ago. As well as having great spiritual and historic significance, there are glorious views over the surrounding hills. Placed in the valley are large religious statues. The statue of Kwam Im, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, is a remarkable piece of religious architecture. Other statues include a gold coloured Buddha image in Burmese style.
This temple is offered as part of a temple tour package from Khazo Lak and would be the highlight of the tour.
