The Thunderdome Stadium, currently known for sponsorship purposes as SCG Stadium is a football stadium is the home of Thai League 1's side, Muangthong United. SCG Stadium has been their home venue since 2007. Owned by the Sports Authority of Thailand and rented by Muangthong United, the stadium originally known as Thunderdome Sports Complex, opened in 1998 and had only one main stand before the Thai League 1 promotion in 2009. After promotion to the top division the club started to develop the stadium and construct other temporary stands according to the demands of the supporters. In 2010, after the club clinched its first ever top division place, SCG stadium was developed into a 4 stand stadium with full seating. The capacity rose to 15,000.
