Don Mueang Railway Station is located opposite the Don Mueang airport terminal building in northern Bangkok. It is a mainline station serving SRT's northern and north-eastern lines. The line first opened in 1896. As part of the Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region, Don Meuang Railway Station is being expanded to include an elevated station that will handle the Airport Rail link extension as well as the SRT's Dark Red Line currently under construction.
