Bang Sue Central Station, Chatuchak, Bangkok

Bang Sue Central Station or Bang Sue Grand Station in Chatuchak, Bangkok, will be Thailand's new railway hub. It will replace the current Bangkok Railway Station at Hua Lamphong as the terminus for all long-distance rail services from Bangkok. The station is under construction and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2020. As of May 2018 the station is 50 percent completed. When built it will replace the existing Bang Sue Junction Railway Station and incorporate the Bang Sue MRT Station. The Red Line service from Bang Sue to Rangsit is expected to be operational in November 2019.
Bang Sue will be the largest railway station in Southeast Asia and will have 26 platforms. The station has 264,381 m2 floor area. The 218 rai (35 hectares) area around the station will be developed as a business and commercial hub, in three zones. According to the SRT's plans, Bang Sue Central Station will have 600 metre–long platforms.
