BG Pathum United FC v Lamphun Warrior FC - Friday, 14 March 2025

The game between BG Pathum United FC (The Rabbits) and Lamphun Warrior FC (The White Cattle) kicks off at the BG Stadium, Thanyaburi at 19.00 with an intriguing match in store. This game is all about maintaining momentum at the business end of the table for The Rabbits while the visitors are looking to extend recent good form. The odds are 48% for a home win, so the contest is expected to be tight.
From the kick-off the Rabbits settle better as the visitors hand out free-kicks but nothing comes of their set-pieces. As the half progresses the hosts create more chances from open play with efforts just inches wide. The Lamphun attacks are infrequent, but they too squander chances and there is no score at the break.
Into the second half Rabbit supporters wonder where a goal is coming from after a string of changes then they win yet another free-kick on the right. It's Japanese Gakuto Notsuda who takes the kick and his chip cross is met perfectly by centre back Senegalese Christian Gomis whose towering frame allows a directed header to beat the keeper at the near post for 1 : 0. Inevitably the visitors go in search of an equalizer but have to resort to long range shots for the most part as stoppage for injuries mounted up. Even in the highlights show, hardly anything is shown. Apart from the goal, the highlight is the sending off of Lamphun's Tossaporn Chuchin for dangerous play after a VAR review. This unfortunately summed up the half. In the end it seemed that justice had been done. Overall it was quite an even game but BG were better in the final third. The gate was 6729 more or less what was expected.
