The game between BG Pathum United FC (The Rabbits) and Muang Thong United (The Karins or Twins) kicks off at the BG Stadium, Rangsit, Pathum Thani at 19.00 with a local derby match. With the teams just one point apart, lying 3rd and 4th respectivety this is expected to be a tight game but from the first whistle it's the Rabbits who look sharper as they use their pace to good effect. This is a high tempo game but on 45 minutes it looks as though the Rabbits will go into half-time empty handed but into added time they get a break. A long ball into the box finds Santiphap Channgom in space at the far post to head the ball into the danger area as Brazilian Raniel, running in, drives the ball over the advancing keeper. It's a perfect time to score for any team.
Into the second half the visitors need to raise their game but pressure from BG is not allowing them space despite their possession and on 66 minutes they are in deep trouble. A long ball into the box from the right takes a fortunate touch off a defender for BG and Raniel is there again to pounce on the loose ball. Muang Thong try to get back in the game but despite some good possession just can't find a finish and the game ends with victory for the Rabbits. The stats for this game show that there was nothing between these two teams, but it was BG who had the big moments with Raniel doing what he does best. The result leaves BG in 3rd while Muang Thong drop to 5th after a Port FC win.
