It's March 28th and I'm close to completing another month in Thailand. So far, the options of going on trips have been limited while I've concentrated on more personal matters. Today, however, I get a break with the chance of a 5-day trip which takes us out into Thailand's northern provinces. This trip though, will not be about collecting a massive amount of data for my website. In fact, as we set off around 10.00 am, there is only one reason for travel apart from having a break from Bangkok.
The route today takes us out on the eastern side of the city along the Kanchanapesek tollway then joining HWY 32 passing through Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Singburi and Nakhon Sawan provinces where it joins HWY 1 heading north. We continue through Kampheang Phet province and onto Tak where accommodation is booked.
We check in at Berich Hotel, which is quite central in Tak City, at a comfortable 4.00 pm after some five hours driving. This accommodation was only booked in the morning and proves quite convenient for an overnight stop. First impressions of the room are good, the rooms spacious and value for money.
Nothing much can be added about the journey here except to lament the seasonally hot weather, No attractions were visited on account of so much covered on previous visits and for that I'm grateful with such temperatures in the high 30s Celsius.
